Adversity builds a lean ship.
When we set out with a plan to build an independent publishing company in January this year, we didn’t know the sailing was going to be rough in 2020. We’ve weathered the same storms as everyone else, whilst doing everything for the first time.
Would we have begun if we’d known what was in store?
YES! Because as a team we have grown and learnt together and we are PROUD of how we have built this company. Despite the challenges and the setbacks we are supporting our first author through their first book launch and we couldn’t be more delighted. We decided early on to take the long view and its served us well this year.
We are so happy our first author signed with us this year and helped our dreams enrich her own. We are thrilled to be working with one of the UK printing powerhouses, Clays, UK, to produce a quality product. We are super excited about beginning to get our product into independent bookshops across the UK in an exclusive deal to support independent businesses just like our own.
So our boat may be small and the ocean huge, but we have done it. We had a vision, built our business, sourced our partners and now our first ever publication is launched.
2020 will be unforgettable in so many ways.
